The North American giants, who won their first-ever Big Event last month at ESL One New York, have never failed to reach the semi-finals of a StarSeries event and even made the back in Season 5, losing out to Natus Vincere in the title decider.
Vitality had in Season 7 their first StarSeries event, where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by NRG. The French side, who are currently ranked sixth in the world, will be eager to get their hands on a trophy after finishing second to fnatic at last week’s DreamHack Masters Malmö.
StarSeries i-League Season 8 will take place from October 21-27 in Belek, Turkey, with $500,000 on the line. StarLadder will introduce a new format for the tournament, which will feature a double-elimination format in the group stage and in the playoffs.
